Charlotte Russe

Women who are on the lookout for some fab fashion finds will definitely love Charlotte Russe. This store is similar to the more popular Forever 21 and Wet Seal, which are both included on our list. The only difference is that the collection of clothes that they have lean more towards the more feminine side.

You can get nicer pieces which, when worn with the right accessories, will make you look like a million bucks once you’re all made up. Another advantage of buying stuff from this store is that you can mix and match the pieces so you won’t have to spend so much refurbishing your wardrobe.

DSW

At designer Show Warehouse, you have hundreds of shoe styles, colors, and sizes to choose from. Think of it as being similar to Payless, only there is a wider selection of footwear. Anybody who has a shoe obsession will definitely want to spend hours on this store, without having to spend too much even if you walk out with a dozen pairs in your hands.

Forever 21

When you think of discount clothing, the first store that comes to mind is Forever 21. The brand forever changed the way that Americans shop for clothes, having practically invented the term ‘fast fashion’. If you would like to get a dress similar to what Kate Middleton wears, you can find an affordable dress of a similar style here.

When shopping at Forever 21, remember to look closely at the quality of fabric and make sure that the style is classic enough so you can wear it over and over again.

GoJane

If you’re on the lookout for some cheap sunglasses, shoes, accessories, and jewelry, you should definitely check out the online store of GoJane. You can get dirt cheap sunglasses and accessories. If your taste in fashion is a bit on the skin-revealing side, you can get bodycon dresses, maxis and minis here for as low as $15.

H&M

Hennes & Mauritz is a real fashion find because you can find almost everything that you need fashion-wise. Whether it’s basic tops, trendy party dresses, sparkly bracelets, or other accessories – you can find them at H&M.

The best part is that you would not have to pay designer prices for trendy pieces. The only downside is that shipping is not available in the US for their online store, so you would have to settle for making a trip to the nearest H&M in your area worth your while.

Target

If you haven’t been doing your clothes shopping at Target, you are definitely missing out on a lot! The fashion collection here is much, much better than what you would find at superstores – and the quality is not bad, either. Target works with designers like Isaac Mizrahi, Erin Fetherston and Rogan, so you can wear designer clothing minus the huge price tag.

You can also check out their online store if you cannot find a Target store near where you live.

T.J. Maxx

T.J. Maxx and Marshall’s have pretty much the same line of products. The two are managed by the same people so you can easily shop at a store that’s near your house if you want to get some great deals. Their products include brand name clothes, shoes, and furnishing which are all sold at low, low prices – especially if you shop when there are in-store promotions.

Thrift Stores

Vintage stores and thrift stores are amazing sources of discounted clothes. Not only that, but you can also find some mismatched china if you are redecorating your kitchen, some collectibles, vintage furniture and other fabulous finds without having to pay too high a price for it.

Urban Behavior

If you’re looking for basics, Urban Behavior is the store to shop in. Casual wear is what the store specializes in – so you can get basic t-shirts in almost every color. There are also denim products, jackets, and other apparel. The price here is lower as compared to J. Crew or the GAP, so you will definitely get some frugal finds without having to sacrifice the fashion aspect of things.

Wet Seal

No matter which mall in the US you visit, you are bound to stumble upon an area where they are selling Wet Seal products. Women can get trendy tops, party dresses, accessories, and fancy jewelry. Just make sure to choose pieces which are a good fit on you, and have styles that suit your personality.

With plenty of outlet stores, discount clothing establishments, and online shops to choose from, you can easily get all the apparel that you need to suit you up for the colder months when you shop during the month of October.

  • I love TJ Maxx and Marshall's. I actually thought Wet Seal only sold bathing suits, because I guess that's the only items of theirs that I've looked at online. I don't go to many malls these days, so haven't visited one of their stores. I absolutely love outlet malls, and there are several here in Texas, so it's always a great day to shop. One store I'd add to the list is Tuesday Morning. It has some clothing, lots of housewares, very high end bedding at discount prices, and cookware, as well.

  • I love Walmart as a store to get a bargain, because it seems like there is always everything that I need, exactly when I need it. I enjoy stocking up on things when they're on offer, as much as I can, as this means that I don't then have to pay for the items when they're back up to full price again. I know that there are a number of other stores around where I live that do decent offers as well, but Walmart is the one that I will be sticking to for now, because I love it there.
