  • I have a home office so I was very interested to read this article. You make some valid points, OK it is a bit late for me to save on the furniture, I treated myself there! But I can certainly safe on some of the running costs.

  • Also look into warehouse clubs for items that you know you will be using a lot of. I snagged a box of 500 really high quality business sized envelopes for about $6. That’s cheaper than even dollar store envelopes, and they were of a much higher quality. Also look into bulk printer/copy paper.

    Warehouse deals aren’t always the most economical, but there are some bargains to be found if you comparison shop!

  • I agree with this completely. Ditch the land line and invest on internet. Having fast internet speed is mandatory if you’re working at home. As for the furniture well, too late for me too I’ve spent so much on such nice tables.

  • I work at home and luckily already had my desk and 2 PCs and phone. So really my only cost goes to the occasionally ink cartridge or notebooks. I had everything I needed to get started so there wasn’t much increase in cost.
