Cookie Policy

Last updated: 20 March 2026

1. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device (computer, tablet, or smartphone) when you visit. They allow the website to recognise your device on subsequent visits, remember your preferences, and improve your experience.

This policy also covers related technologies that work in a similar way:

  • Pixels (web beacons): Tiny, invisible images embedded in web pages. When your browser loads a pixel, it sends a request to a third-party server, allowing that server to record that you visited a page. Advertising and analytics platforms use pixels to track conversions and audience behaviour.
  • Local storage and session storage: Browser storage areas that allow websites to store data on your device beyond the expiry of a single session. Unlike cookies, this data is not automatically sent to servers with each request, but it can be read by scripts on the same domain.
  • Fingerprinting: Some analytics services derive a non-unique statistical identifier from browser and device characteristics without placing any file on your device. DontPayFull.com does not use fingerprinting as a substitute for consent-based tracking.

Cookies can be:

  • Session cookies: Deleted automatically when you close your browser.
  • Persistent cookies: Remain on your device for a set period (the retention period) or until you delete them.
  • First-party cookies: Set by DontPayFull.com directly.
  • Third-party cookies: Set by a domain other than DontPayFull.com, typically by analytics or advertising partners whose scripts run on our pages.

2. How we use cookies

DontPayFull.com uses cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Keep the website secure and functional (necessary cookies).
  • Remember your language and display preferences.
  • Understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it (analytics).
  • Deliver and measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns on platforms such as Reddit.
  • Support display advertising that funds free access to our coupon and deal content.

Consent management

We use Cookiebot by Cybot A/S as our Consent Management Platform (CMP). When you first visit DontPayFull.com, Cookiebot displays a consent banner that allows you to accept or decline each category of non-essential cookies before any of those cookies are placed on your device.

Important: Continued browsing of DontPayFull.com is NOT treated as consent to non-essential cookies. We only place Preferences, Statistics, and Marketing cookies after you have given affirmative opt-in consent through the Cookiebot banner, where applicable law requires it.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the "Cookie preferences" link in the website footer or by revisiting our consent centre.

3. Our geo-targeted approach to consent

Cookie and privacy laws differ by country. Cookiebot detects your approximate location (at country or region level) and presents the appropriate experience:

RegionApplicable lawOur approach
EU / EEAePrivacy Directive + GDPROpt-in consent banner. Non-essential cookies are blocked until you actively accept each category.
United KingdomPECR + UK GDPROpt-in consent banner, equivalent to EU treatment.
California, USACCPA / CPRAOpt-out model. Cookies are placed by default. You can opt out of sale/sharing of personal information via the Cookiebot preference centre or the link in Section 8 of this policy.
Other US statesState privacy laws (Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, etc.)Informational notice. Opt-out available via the Cookiebot preference centre.
CanadaPIPEDA (federal) + Quebec Law 25Opt-in consent banner for non-essential cookies. Federal PIPEDA requires meaningful consent before collecting personal information via cookies. Quebec Law 25 applies stricter requirements equivalent to EU treatment for Quebec residents. Cookiebot presents a consent banner for all Canadian visitors.
AustraliaPrivacy Act 1988 (no cookie-specific consent law)Informational notice. Preference centre available for managing cookies voluntarily.
Rest of worldVariesInformational notice. Preference centre available.

Regardless of your location, you can always open the Cookiebot preference centre to review and adjust your choices.

6. Cookieless analytics (Plausible.io)

No cookies placed. Plausible.io does not use cookies, does not store personal data, and does not track individual visitors across sessions or websites.

In addition to Google Analytics 4, DontPayFull.com uses Plausible.io, a privacy-first, cookieless analytics service operated by Plausible Analytics OUE (Estonia). Plausible is included in our Statistics category for transparency, but it does not require cookie consent from any visitor in any jurisdiction.

Plausible works as follows:

  • It collects only aggregate, anonymised traffic data: page URL, HTTP referrer, browser type, operating system, device type, and country derived from IP address.
  • The IP address is never stored. It is hashed and discarded immediately after the geolocation lookup, so no persistent identifier is created.
  • Plausible does not use cookies, local storage, fingerprinting, or any persistent cross-session identifier.
  • Data is stored on servers in the EU (Germany) and is not shared with advertisers or any third party for commercial purposes.
  • Individual visitors cannot be identified or tracked across websites.

Because Plausible is cookieless and collects no personal data as defined by GDPR, it is exempt from the ePrivacy Directive cookie consent requirement and does not constitute "sale or sharing" of personal information under CCPA/CPRA. Your choice to decline Statistics cookies in the Cookiebot banner does not affect Plausible.io data collection, and we consider this appropriate given the purely aggregate, non-identifying nature of the data.

For more information, see Plausible's Data Policy.

7. Affiliate tracking

DontPayFull.com earns revenue through affiliate marketing. When you click a coupon, deal link, or "Get Deal" button, you are redirected through an affiliate URL before arriving at the merchant's website. This section explains exactly how affiliate attribution works and what role cookies play.

How it works

Affiliate attribution on DontPayFull.com is handled entirely via URL redirect, not by cookies placed on your device by us. The process is:

  1. You click a deal link on DontPayFull.com.
  2. Your browser is redirected through an affiliate tracking URL that includes our publisher ID and a click reference. This redirect happens on the affiliate network's domain, not ours.
  3. You are then forwarded to the merchant's website.
  4. The affiliate network (not DontPayFull.com) places its own tracking cookie on the merchant's domain in order to attribute any resulting purchase to our publisher account.
DontPayFull.com does NOT place affiliate tracking cookies on merchant websites. The affiliate cookie is placed by the affiliate network or merchant as an independent data controller. Their privacy and cookie practices are governed by their own policies.

Affiliate networks we work with

DontPayFull.com works with a range of affiliate networks. When you click through a deal link, these networks may place their own cookies on the merchant's domain. Networks include, but are not limited to: AWIN, Rakuten Advertising, CJ Affiliate (Conversant), Tradedoubler, Impact, ShareASale, 2Performant, and Amazon Associates. Please review each network's own privacy and cookie documentation if you wish to understand how they handle your data.

What we receive

When a purchase is completed after a click-through from DontPayFull.com, the affiliate network reports the conversion to us. The report typically includes the transaction amount, the commission earned, a click timestamp, and an anonymised or hashed order identifier. We do not receive your name, payment details, or other identifying personal information from the merchant or affiliate network.

8. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information (California)

This section applies to California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).

Under CCPA/CPRA, "selling" or "sharing" personal information includes making personal data available to advertising partners for cross-context behavioural advertising, even when no money changes hands. The use of Marketing cookies (Reddit Ads Pixel and Google Ads / Remarketing) on DontPayFull.com may constitute "sharing" of personal information within this definition, because these services receive identifiers (such as cookie IDs) that may be associated with your browsing behaviour and used to show you targeted ads.

Your right to opt out

As a California resident, you have the right to direct us to stop selling or sharing your personal information. You can exercise this right in two ways:

  1. Via our CCPA Opt-Out page: dontpayfull.com/page/ccpa-opt-out. Select "Opt Out" to stop the sharing of your personal information with advertising partners on a going-forward basis. You can also withdraw a previous opt-out by selecting "Consent" from the same page.
  2. Via the cookie preference centre: Decline the "Marketing" category in the Cookiebot banner. This prevents Marketing cookies from being placed on your device.
  3. Via email: Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share - California". We will respond within 15 business days.
Global Privacy Control (GPC): DontPayFull.com recognises the GPC signal. If your browser transmits a GPC opt-out header, Cookiebot will treat it as a request to opt out of Marketing cookies and will not set them on your device.

Other California privacy rights

In addition to the right to opt out of sale/sharing, California residents have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we have collected about you and how it is used.
  • Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
  • Non-discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA/CPRA rights.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. See our Privacy Policy for more details on the personal data we process.

9. Managing your cookie preferences

You have several options for managing cookies on DontPayFull.com.

Cookiebot preference centre

The easiest way to manage your cookie choices is through our Cookiebot preference centre. You can open it at any time by clicking the "Cookie preferences" link in the website footer. From there, you can accept or decline individual cookie categories (Preferences, Statistics, Marketing) and update your choices at any time.

Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing that took place before you withdrew consent.

Browser settings

All major browsers allow you to view, manage, and delete cookies stored on your device. Note that disabling all cookies via browser settings will also block Necessary cookies, which may prevent parts of DontPayFull.com from working correctly.

Provider-level opt-outs

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies and technologies we use, changes in applicable law, or improvements to how we explain our practices. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

We encourage you to review this policy periodically. For significant changes that affect how we process data requiring consent, we will re-present the Cookiebot consent banner so you can review and confirm your preferences under the updated terms.

Your continued use of DontPayFull.com after a policy update does not constitute acceptance of any new or expanded use of cookies that require consent. Those cookies will continue to require your affirmative opt-in through the Cookiebot banner.

Previous versions of this Cookie Policy are available on request. Contact us at the address in Section 11.
