  • I did not know that Costco has giveaways. We have Costco in Canada also but not sure if ours does that. Very interesting, some of those shops are not in my part of Canada though. But we do have Wal mart and I know they do.

    • I don’t believe Costco has giveaways in the traditional sense. Then again, the company gives out millions of dollars’ worth in free samples each and every year. You can get a lot of things for free from Costco, at least in small quantities. There are plenty of people that go there for the free samples and nothing else!

  • Although most of these stores are more or less equally good at what they provide their customers, I must say that Amazon is simply on another level. The ease of access and the constant promos and giveaways alone will make you an online shopaholic in no time; not that that’s a good thing.

  • What is number #9? The name of the store is missing….. 9) com = $43,962,000 in sales (27.2% sales growth) that is all you put down!

  • Walmart doesn’t really do giveaways, though. The company once did a gift card giveaway to tens of thousands of households in the United States, but that was a one-time deal. Walmart doesn’t need to do giveaways because consumers spend billions of dollars at the company’s retail locations each year, and everyone knows what Walmart is.

  • I was surprised to see Costco and Kroger above Target, because Super Target stores are very popular in my area. Kroger’s another popular store here. Their prices are usually higher than Walmart Supercenter’s, but I’ve noticed recently, they are stocking what I think is a newer store brand, called Pssst <–not sure how many Ss it has. They're basically generics, are quality products, and the prices are very low. Kroger has electronic coupons you can select online and add to your loyalty card, discounts on gas, as well as Freebie Friday, when they give away a select product, that you can go online and add to your loyalty card, then pick up in the store within 2 weeks.
