25 Most Expensive Wedding Dresses in the World

Most expensive wedding dresses
Written by Oana Schneider

Most women dream of looking like a queen or a princess during her wedding day. As the bride walks down the aisle, the gorgeous wedding dress becomes the center of attention. Some bridal dresses have mile-long trains while others have rhinestones, beads, pearls and other intricate decorations.

Naturally, the more intricately designed a wedding gown is, the pricier it would be. This is especially true if the gown is made by a popular fashion designer. If you’re a bride who is about to say your “I dos” with your soon-to-be-husband, you may not necessarily afford to have the most expensive gown made, but you can definitely take some design inspiration from our list. Check out the top 25 most expensive wedding dresses in the world:

  • Most of these articles about most expensive this and that and celebrities make me feel a bit bummed out, because — well it’s just so expensive and I know that’s a bit like unreal life for people like me. Like most of us, really. But watching the wedding dresses was not as bad as watching the most expensive houses. I realized that I have no real use or desire for an expensive gown to wear a single time — whereas I could enjoy a roomy house with nice facilities and a view. I’d be happy with a simple, hundred bucks wedding dress, really. It’s good to have articles like this to remind me that just because stars do it, does not mean I would choose it even if I had money!

    • I definitely agree, you’re only gonna wear it once, that money is much better spent on a nice house 🙂 It’s totally different for the stars since they can afford it, but still.

  • I like Kate Middleton’s dress because it looks so simple, odd that is was so expensive though. I know if I ever get married I will be going with a simple dress myself not super expensive.

    • Designers can always find a way to make something so simple so darn expensive, right? I do like Kate Middleton’s dress, although we all know her sister showed her up a little at that wedding. I’d always prefer my future wife to choose a more simple or humbling dress, although it’s obviously here choice when all is said and done.

  • Simple wedding dresses are always better than complex ones. Sure, you’re supposed to go all out on your wedding day whenever you cant, but you shouldn’t be boastful about it. I like the look of simple dresses anyways, not to mention that they’re often the cheaper option. Far too many people spend a fortune on something they’ll wear once, perhaps twice, in a lifetime.

    • Honestly, I think it’s ridiculous that they are boastful about it. When you really think of it objectively after setting aside any cultural bias it is all very silly. Spending that much money on a dress only worn once or so is somewhat stupid. It is just society that promotes and glorifies the idea; it’s a subjective value constructed by it.

      • In other countries, I’d say that women or their families spend more relative to their total income or net worth on wedding dresses because it’s seen as such an important day for certain cultures. In Western countries, people probably have more money to spend on an expensive wedding dress, but I still think it’s a bad idea. Spending that much money is just insane in most cases.

  • Believe it or not, Vera Wang is famous all over the world. I had this ex GF who wanted me to MARRY HER AND BUY HER A VERA WANG DRESS, if she didn’t get that, she would NOT marry me. I broke up that relationship pretty soon. I like the dresses, but are they really worth that much money? Even the bad ones are really, really expensive. Why would anyone spend so much on something they’ll wear only once? I get girls want a special wedding, but what about making the rest of the wedding really powerful and beautiful?

  • hiii
Your dress collection is nice, but this is very expensive. I love it Yumi Katsura’s all dresses collection. Her wedding dress design is so so so beautiful and its very comfortable for wear.

  • Wow! I love Kate Middleton’s dress and everything, but I could never imagine spending that much on a dress. My cousin spent thousands of dollars on a designer dress, and I thought that was bad! For me, I want it to be beautiful of course, but you’re only going to wear it once. I don’t think it’s necessary to spend quite so much, you can definitely spend much less and still look awesome. These dresses are gorgeous though, and it was neat to see the pictures that went along with, I had no idea some of these dresses cost so much!
